My name is Shannon! I’m a social worker, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to anyone who needs one! Social work is something I hold near to my heart! I have devoted a large part of my life to being a social worker in my community. It means the world to me! I have been accompanied on this journey of life by my best friend and now husband Jessie! We met in college and instantly became best friends! Four years later we began dating and then married a few years after that! I never could of imagined that our connection would ever be what it is. I have found solace and strength within our friendship. Peace and love within our marriage. Having a partner that empowers you and gives you the space to love at full capacity has been such a blessing! We have made it to the part of our lives that we have decided to expand our family! Unfortunately it has not been easy the last few years. I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I struggle with ovulating on my own. We have tried fertility treatments the last few years as much as we can afford. We have made it to the point that our next step is IVF. That is an expensive step!! What we have saved has went towards the treatments we tried. Saving what we need for IVF is going to put us against that biological clock as I am in my mid 30s. We need help creating our family! Whatever you chose to give to help, we are grateful for!
